First of all, excelent beginning. I really hope the rest of the story will be as good or better than the first chapter. Jarod's friend possible involvement in the project sounds pretty obvious (I don't mean that as a flaw). The only flaw I've seen so far is the fact that Miss Parker went to consult Sydney about Greek Mythology. If you remember the very first episode of The Pretender, she was the one who told him about Onyssius, the Greek God of Retribution. Apart from that, I've got nothing else to say. Keep it up!

Glad that Jarod already got a positive ID on Lyle as a suspect,but I hope he doesn't run into any obsticles with the Blue Cove DA, since the Centre is so powerful and would probably have a few politicians and law enforcement officer in their payroll. I absolutely loved this chapter. Your way of building the suspence makes me dread the next 7 days of long waiting. It's good to know that you haven't killed any of the main characters in your other stories. So I presume that Ms. Parker is more or less alive. Looking forward to the next chapter. And please give us an answer in that one otherwise the suspence is going to kill me. Keep up this wonderfull writing.

Aaaaaaaah!!!!! You can't leave us hanging like that for a whole week!!! They actually figured out the plan, but Parker was too tired to answer her phone. That'll teach her to ignore Sydney's calls. I just hope she bent down or something just as he shot. I hope they can save and deprogram Hank. It is not looking good--though at least the FBI is involved now. I loved the Watson-Holmes joke! Well, that is a relief! With Jarod as her surgeon, Parker should be fine. I also am glad Broots and Debbie got out in time. I didn't want Broots to die again! I also like how Jarod called the police for reinforcements. When Hank and Willie come, he should be able to subdue them and take Hank back to be deprogrammed from the brainwashing. I just hope noone else gets shot, well, maybe Willie or Lyle.:) I can't wait for next week, though at least this wasn't as evil a cliffhanger as last week. Lisa

Great chapter. Willy is behind bars and Lyle is going nuts. The FBI is about to come down on the Centre hard and Jarod gave them all the info they will need for a complete search. Hope that Jarod, Sam and Sydney will be able to keep Parker safe from Hank and hopefully the return to Mercy Hospital will help Hank remember something that will help save his life as well. Hi MMB, I'm so happy that finally your chapter is up. It was avery long weekend without this chapter. Glad that Miss Parker is recovering nicely, but it seems that Sam is still holding a grudge against Jarod. Interesting how Capt.DiAngello discovered about Jarod not being a real detective and will he do something about his discovery? Hank is now in the hospital and Jarod missed him by a few feet. That was awful!!! Sam and Sydney both shot in the chest, and then a cliffhanger as to whether Parker and Hank are dead. Sam's dead!!! This was such a sad chapter. And poor Hank. At least Jarod didn't have to kill him, but his chances of recovery don't look good. Unless Cox has any research on reversing the effects--not likely. It will be interesting to see if Parker actually does get to rule the Centre or if the FBI investigation will bring it down totally. I hope Sydney gets better soon. One more chapter! Lisa

Hi MMB, This was a very depresing chapter. Poor Sam is dead and Sydney is still at death's door. Hope that he makes it. His death would be very painful to Parker and Jarod. Poor Hank, now he is trapped in his insanity. I hope that Jarod can find an antedote to bring his mind back, but finding out about the murders he commited is going to be so horrible for him. So poor Jarod had quite a dilema here. And now, will Miss Parker finally rule the Centre or will she have to close it for good? Glad to see that there is another chapter coming. Great Job! Mercy

Very fine story despite a lot of death. When I suggest right there will be only one more chapter 13? Parker once more fighting this time against the Triumvirate and gathering the support of the stockholders. I'm looking for it.

I enjoyed this suspenseful story. I liked how you ended it, leaving things still open between Jarod and Sydney and Parker, but with the implication that they will work things out. You also tied up the DiAngelo loose end. At least Hank is on the road to recovery and has most of his mind back. I will miss you for the next two months and may just have to go back and read your extremely long series that ends in Resolutions if I start to go through MMB withdrawal. I, too, loved the poetic justice in Lyle being taken out by one of his own projects. And Raines falling from something as mundane as a stroke - nice touch. He's a mere mortal after all. A nod of approval to MP's underhandedness in her campaign for the Chairm-woman's seat. Being raised in the Centre like that, it's very believable that her line in the sand may not stay completely legal. And in this case, the ends definitely justified the means. Hi MMB, Another Great ending to a Wonderful story. Loved the way MP handle the Triumvirate and send them away for good. And it was lucky for Jarod that DiAngelo believed his story and didn't press charges after it was all over. Hank is slowly recovering and finally Sydney and Parker are becoming a family unit and want to bring Jarod back into their lives as a friend. Am I supposed to say that this chapter - and basically the whole story - was excellent? I think so, because, indeed, it was. Jarod's conversation with DiAngelo, Miss Parker's kicking Triumvirate's ass, everything was just great. I felt sorry about Hank and Tommy. Perhaps in the future they'll be able to be normal. (If normal can be applied to Centre related characters.) In conclusion, it was a very nice story, one that I enjoyed reading for the past 13 weeks. They say 13 is a magical number and this story sure had some sort of magic around it. I'm going to wait for your hiatus to finish - hope your muse doesn't take too long in returning. In the meantime, I think I'll read some of your stories that I haven't had the time to read yet. I'll be posting reviews on them as well.
